walpur district government. The Museum was established in 1974 and is known as a museum of archaeology, ethnology, art, heritage, of traditional and modern history. The museum comprises of several galleries; the Modern history of Pakistan, the archaeological history of the region, the Islamic gallery which exhibits manuscripts, inscription and Quranic documents, Cultural heritage of the Bahawalpur region, Art and coin gallery and Cholistan Art and Heritage.
